Hotel H2O’s Bay View King Room with the Best Sunset View in Manila Bay

July 19, 2020

Whenever I see the sunset from places I’ve traveled to, I can’t help but compare them to Manila bay’s sunset. And in my opinion, it still has the best sunset regardless of not having turquoise water. That’s why for my special someone’s birthday, we booked a room with a bay view at Hotel H2O last 11 January 2020 since we just wanted a staycation.

Photo grabbed from Agoda.

We arrived at the hotel around 10AM to confirm our reservation since the room we wanted was fully booked in Agoda, which is cheaper than the direct booking.  Regular check-in time is at 2PM, so we decided to have our brunch first at Gerry’s located on the ground floor inside the Manila Ocean Park premise. Our room was ready by 11AM, we got in around 12NN and we were awestruck by the view. I was caught off guard by how the floor-to-ceiling window was installed because when I peeked, I thought I was going to fall in the water.

Since it’s a staycation, we slept until 3PM and waited for the sunset.  The view did not disappoint us and we took a lot of photos of the sunset. The Php5,632 per night on the Bay View King Room at 3259 was a great spot and totally worth the price. It was quiet since I requested a room away from the crowd of Manila Ocean Park. I was satisfied with the room they have provided and its amenities.

As for the food, you could roam around Manila Ocean Park and there are a lot of restaurants that you could choose from Gerry’s Grill, Makan Makan Asian Food Village, White Moon Bar, North Park Noodles, Garden Cafe, etc. You could also dine out around Intramuros at the La Cathedral Cafe, although we haven’t tried it because it was close when we visited but I have read great reviews.
