Daranak and Batlag Falls | Travel Guide

February 18, 2016

Aside from the numerous mountains, Rizal province has a lot of falls too. And I’m glad to see two of those majestic falls namely Daranak and Batlag Falls in Tanay.

This was just a side-trip from our Christmas Party and Team building last December 19-20, 2015. Here are some photos to convince you to check out Tanay, Rizal and a travel guide on how to get there.

Here’s how to get there?

  • Take a Van to Tanay Market (Fare: P 70-90 | Travel Time:  1 hour and 30 minutes)

For those who will commute, you can take a van in Starmall at EDSA cor. Shaw Boulevard. They are available as early as 4AM and as late as 10PM.

If you’re coming from Araneta Center, Cubao, take a jeepney going to Cogeo or Antipolo then transfer to another jeepney going to Tanay.

  • Tricycle to Daranak and Batlag Falls (Fare: P 100-150 for one-way trip)

From Tanay Market, hire a tricycle to Daranak Falls. Usual rates ranges from P 100-150 per way. Don’t forget to haggle for a lower rate.

You might want to get the tricycle phone number so you can contact him for the return trip since there are no tricycle waiting near the entrance. Unless, you want to walk to the main road that will take 20-30 minute-walk.
