Travel Philippines First

October 08, 2016

Philippines though small in size has 7,107 islands but only 2,000 of them are inhabited while the rest still doesn’t have a name. She may look tiny on the map compared to other countries but it’ll be a challenge to everyone to visit every provinces’ renowned and picturesque site.

However before you set-off to your own journey, there are things one must prepare like the budget, itineraries and travel essentials. Saving and budgeting for the trip are tricky but will be manageable once you got hold of them. While creating itineraries and researching about the place is a huge responsibility for the travel planner of the group or to solo travelers. Because the outcome of the trip will depend on it, considering that everyone would suggest to visit the popular and must-see destinations in one go. But then, squeezing everything in a 3-day trip would explicitly look and feel like an amazing race. We don’t want that, we wanted something that’s relaxing yet with a spice of adventure.

We are the guinea pigs to the awesome trips that awaits you. We’ll try to go to different places and experience every activity a province has to offer. Then, at the end of the day, we’ll expose the hidden yet waiting to be explored breath-taking sites that our country has.

As a travel blogger, I believe that we’re helping the country in our own little and influencing ways. I, for example, wanted to promote “Travel Philippines First”. I  know all of us wanted to check-off other countries on our buckelist, to learn their culture and experience to be part of the local community. But before doing that, why not get to know our own country first that has 81 provinces to start with. Let’s explore, experience and embrace the custom of every province since each has a unique speciality that others don’t have. Let’s not be strangers in our own country. Let’s practice patriotism by immersing ourselves in our beloved country and helping our own local community.

Just imagine if every Filipino takes a vacation to places recommended by travel bloggers within our country. It’ll definitely boost the tourism that will positively affect the economy as local businesses boom. As a result, locals will also benefit from your patronage since they’ll be given a job either as tourist guides or hotel staffs. In addition, try to buy souvenirs and avail services from small businesses rather than the well-established one, it’s another way to give back to the locals.

And lastly, as you wander around and enjoy the trip, don’t forget to practice the “Leave No Trace” Rule. It’s an unspoken rule that everyone should constantly be reminded of.

Let this quotation be every traveler’s manifesto:

“Kill nothing but time,
Leave nothing but footprints,
Take nothing but pictures
&
Keep nothing but memories.”

I hope this inspires everybody to pack and travel around the country, island to island and remember that travel bloggers got your back day and night. We’ll provide you comprehensive, budget-friendly and hassle-free travel guides that are tried and tested.

Happy travels!
